Ultrasound update

Saw the midwife this morning and she had the radiologist report already. Everything looks normal! Heart, face, cranial structure, placenta and cord- all normal.

The specialist still wants me to do an ultrasound at 32 and 36 weeks, but unless the OB can give me a good reason to do it, I don't want to. I'm being seen at the Dr every 2 weeks now, so they would pick up on anything that might be wrong. Regardless of things seen or not seen in an ultrasound, we will have the pediatrician check for signs of Stickler once it's born. I only wanted to look for any problems that might cause an issue at birth- cleft palate causing breathing or feeding problem, heart trouble, etc. I think we can rule any immediate problems out (I mean, any number of things could happen, but we're not anticipating a specific problem).

I'm ready to be done with tests and just focus on getting ready for the birth and, oh yeah, having an actual baby! I'll be reading all about breast feeding and soothing methods, checking out pumps and bottles, and nagging Peter to finish the nursery and assemble the crib. You know, the fun stuff. :)

I'll end this post with a picture of me testing out the baby quilt Kat made. It's awesome and warm. And awesome. We love it, and I'm sure "Terry" will, too.
